Reject Elena Kagan

Of all the things that bother me about this president the one that angers me the most is his effort to place an unqualified political activist on the highest court in the land. With absolutely NO experience as a judge, and scant experience as an active lawyer, she is by far the biggest potential disaster we are facing. At fifty yeas of age, we are looking at someone who will be shaping decisions that our children and their children will be living with for 25-30 years.
Her hearings were nothing short of a theater of the absurd. She told us nothing about herself or her philosophy; and proved adept at not answering questions at all. Yet the democrats loved her: how qualified she is; how smart she is. Funny , they said the same things about Obama and look at what a mess the country is in now! Is it too much to hope that the senate will demand someone who is a brilliant judge and renowned scholar to be a supreme court justice? I do not believe that the senate must bend over backwards and allow the president whomever he wants on the court. That is an abdication of their role to advise and consent. It is not a rubber stamp or a gift to the president.
The few times when did slip up in her hearings prove that Elena Kagan is a wolf in sheeps clothing. She is hiding her true agenda until she is confirmed. Anyone hoping to get a fair look at immigration, abortion, gun rights or any other of the hot button issues should just assume that whatever the president’s policy is, that too is Elena Kagans. She should not be confirmed. These hearings were a farce and the president has made a mockery of the court by nominating someone so unqualified as to be a joke. God help us all.
