O come let us adore him

Just a quick one today. From Bob in Florida, another example of the media adoration for Obama  and disrespect  for the former president.
The Unfairness Doctrine
by Jim on Apr.27, 2009, under Politics
As President Obama hits his hundred day mark in the White House, I thought it was interesting to look at some statistics concerning press coverage.
The nonpartisan research group Center for Media and Public Affairsalong with California’s Chapman University released a study that found the nightly newscasts devoted 27 hours, 44 minutes to Pres. Obama’s presidency in his first 50 days. That compares to 7 hours, 42 minutes for Pres. George W. Bush and 15 hours, 2 minutes for Pres. Bill Clinton during the first 50 days of their first terms.
Not only has Obama gotten more coverage, but that coverage has been more positive than his predecessors.
On the ABC, CBS, and NBC evening newscasts, 58% of all evaluations of the president and his policies have been favorable, while 42% were unfavorable. That compares with 33% positive in the comparable period of Bush’s tenure and 44% positive for Pres. Clinton
I dont know about you , but i think this is dangerous. The networks are working to deify this man. He can do no wrong. This is a gross misuse of the airwaves. Talk about the unfairness doctrine! I don’t know how anyone can rely on the evening newscasts to provide a fair look at the days events when he or his wife are involved.Speaking of the  media, additional confirmation today that  the student prince really isn’t that good a speaker without his vaunted teleprompter .
Inaugural thoughts
by Jim on Jan.20, 2009, under Politics
My friend Bob sent me the following information today . I thought it was worth sharing.Â
Headlines on This Date 4 Years Ago:
“Republicans spending $42 million ( $47 million in today’s dollars) on inauguration while troops Die in unarmored Humvees”
“Bush extravagance exceeds any reason during tough economic times”
“Fat cats get their $42 million inauguration party, Ordinary Americans get the shaft”
Headlines Today:
“Historic Obama Inauguration will cost $150 million”
“Obama Spends $160 million on inauguration; America Needs A Big Party”
“Everyman Obama shows America how to celebrate”
In other inaugural thoughts, how about next time we get rid of the inaugural poet. What in God’s name did she say? And while we’re at it, if Rev Lowry is going to speak on a “unifying occasion,”  how about something more that a 1960’s era creed about blacks in the back, yellows being mellow, browns being around, redmen getting ahead,  and whites doing whats right. Give me a break! Have you noticed that it is always the liberals harping on race? I thought we were over that? I guess electing the first African American president still didn’t prove how far we’ve come. Obviously Lowry didn’t get the word on hope and change.
