It’s OK to be racist if you’re a democrat
by Jim on Jan.10, 2010, under Politics
So Harry Reid makes some absolutely outrageous racist remarks about Obama, apologizes, is forgiven by Obama, and life is supposed to go on. Joe Biden insults Pakistanis and workers at 7/11′s, apologizes and that’s ok.  Sen Byrd is a former leader of the Ku Klux Klan but says he’s changed. Obama attends a racist church for twenty years but says he didn’t listen to the sermons.  What do these events have in common? Why they’re all democrats! Are Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton outraged? Haven’t heard anything yet. Is 60 minutes going to report on Harry Reid? Nope.  Unbelievably, the head of the democrat national committee today said Reid’s remarks were in a positive context!!!!! These people are  so hypocritical they don’t even know how stupid they appear; But we do.
Look at how a republican was  treated in similar circumstances. Trent Lott was hounded out of his senate leadership position because he made congratulatory birthday comments to someone who was a segregationist decades ago. Although he apologized, it wasn’t good enough for the likes of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson or Barack Obama. Lott was hounded out. He never said a black man didn’t sound  like a negro unless he wanted to, which is what Reid said about Obama. But that apparently is OK. SO if you are a closet racist, become a democrat. Apparently there”s room for you in their big tent.
If this is such a good idea, why do they have to bribe people?
by Jim on Nov.22, 2009, under Intelligence / National Security, Politics
If the health care bill passed by the senate on Saturday was such a good idea, why did Harry Reid have to bribe members of his own party to vote for it? So the circus that is the democrat health care agenda moves yet another step forward based on payoffs, bribes , and intimidation. Wow , imagine if this was something they wanted to play hardball with?
I read a colum by Rich Galen tonight, and wanted to share with you the key point:Â
“Reid and Obama Administration officials relied on the time honored method (used by Republicans and Democrats) of getting recalcitrant Members to vote a certain way: Bribery which, in the real world, is a felony but in Washington it is called “hardball.”
 *  In Sen. Landrieu’s case the bribe was $300 million in Medicaid benefits to Louisiana.
 *  It’s not even a close call. According to the website “Total Criminal Defense,”
Bribery is an attempt to influence another person’s actions, usually a government or public official employee, by offering a benefit in exchange for the desired decision.Â
 *  Three hundred million in return for a vote to proceed. If walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck …”
So now all the senators know how desperate the administration is to pass this. It is worth $300 million a vote. And this is supposed to save the country money? Sounds to me like it is personal crusade of this administration no matter what the cost to the American public. God forbid Obama should fail to get his agenda passed. This is just so sad.
The root of our economic problems

The following commentary on the AP report below  was sent to me by my friend Scott in Colorado Springs. Thanks Scott.
AIG bonuses new cloud over Treasury boss By LAURIE KELLMAN, Associated Press Writer
The economic picture, Reid said, revolves around the fortunes of the housing market.
“I feel very comfortable with what the treasury secretary has done, what the housing secretary has done,” Reid said. “Housing is the main focus of the problems we have with our economy. That’s where it started, and everyone says, until we work out the housing issue, we will never be at the bottom of this economic crisis.”
This AP article reveals an incredible gap between what the President has said are the reasons for the economic plight and what Senator Reid is saying. President Obama in a recent speech said the economic problems relate to energy, health care and education. If we spend billions on these, we’ll fix the economic problem. A few days ago Charles Krauthammer pointed out that the president had presented these big three as the culprits, but Mr. Krauthammer reminded us that the real reasons for the economic downturn are in fact what happened to the banks and Wall Street, part of which was a result of the housing market as indicated by senator Reid in the AP article . So the President and Mr. Reid are attributing different factors to the economic plight. My conclusion is that the president has tried to convince America that the economic problems exist because we didn’t address energy, education and health care sooner. Spending billions on these include political payback and also pave the way towards more government control over citizens’ lives. This disconnect between the President’s speech content and Senator Reid’s statements might be worth further investigation and analyses .
